Vlog: Watch Sweeteya Reya shares How Much a Filipino International Student Earn in Australia

International students in Australia typically earn money through part-time jobs to support their living expenses and education costs. The amount they earn can vary depending on various factors such as the type of job, location, and their individual skills and qualifications. On average, international students can expect to earn around AUD $20 to $30 per hour for part-time work.

Common part-time jobs for international students include retail, hospitality, customer service, tutoring, and administrative roles. The specific wages can vary within these sectors. It’s important to note that Australia has a minimum wage law that applies to all workers, including international students. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the minimum wage was around AUD $19.84 per hour, but it’s advisable to check for the most current information as minimum wage rates can change.

Many students work around 20 hours per week during the academic year and can work full-time during semester breaks. Keep in mind that while part-time work can help cover living expenses, it’s essential to balance it with your studies to ensure academic success.

Please note that my information might be outdated as my last training data is from September 2021, and wage rates and regulations can change over time. It’s always a good idea to verify the current information from official government sources or university resources.
